The present work is focused in the study of toughness loss on fibreglass vinylester laminate plates, which were exposed to high temperature environment. A damped exponential mathematical model on the strain energy release rate (G{sub}(IIC)) against exposure time fits to the data collected. Laminates were done by the hand contact method. The reinforcement configuration of an E-glass-fibre plain bidirectional multiaxial 2D cloth was composed with 8 plies (0-90°/±45°), four 0-90° and four ±45 247L?alternatively ordered. Two cured temperatures, 20° and 50°, were selected to study the effect of cure treatment on mode II interlaminar fracture toughness. The results shows a strongly dependence between G{sub}(IIC) values and cure conditions.
