Walsh series are used to develop a finite element model based on first order shear deformation theory (Timoshenko beam theory) that enables accurate prediction of static, dynamic and eigenvalue buckling response of multilaminated composite beams. The model is based on a single-layer two-node straight beam element with mixed formulation.
