摘要

The viscous flow around a ship is computed by solving the Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations with a finite volume method. Reynolds-stresses are modelled with the k-ω turbulence model and the free surface, regarded as the interface of a two-phase flow, is captured with the Level Set technique. After a brief description of the method, results for a sample case, a modern container ship moving straight ahead at constant speed, are presented.
