摘要

Silt erosion in hydraulic machines is a major obstacle to the continued development of hydro power resources in many regions worldwide. To overcome this obstacle, Voith Siemens Hydro started as a member of a research projects to develop advanced erosion prevention techniques. This paper presents various experiences from prototype applications, in the workshop as well as in-situ on job site. The results of various prototype applications are also presented in this paper, including the critical issue of achieving a lasting performance of the coating bond and interlayer bonding. The paper will conclude with a comparative consideration of the two coating techniques, established during the research project. The final result shows clearly, that there is no "perfect" coating system. Depending on each special case the best solution has to be chosen.
