摘要

In this paper, author introduces the formulas of the starting velocity about the sedimentation applied in hydraulic engineering. Author analyses and appraises the basis of the theory and the deducing process of these formulas. Based on the own research work, author proposes the concept, which the fluid fluctuation is the important factor affecting on the sediment starting, and follows the same model on starting about the thick and fine sediment particles. Author also tries to give the quantitative-index on the indefinite of the starting. In addition, author details the study about sedimentation of the fine particles and gives own opinion on the starting of the cohesive sedimentation.
