摘要

Kanasei Engineering was founded by Mitsuo Nagamachi at Hiroshima University about 30 years ago and it has spread out in Japan as well as in the world. It is defined as a translating technology of consumer' psychological feeling (kansei in Japanese) into design domain. The kansei engineering is called the ergonomic consumer-oriented technology, because the consumer's kansei is estimated and it is implemented in a product design. There are so many products in which the kansei is implemented and these products are successful in good seller so far. This paper deals with the framework of the kansei engineering/ kansei ergonomics and with its applications.
