The model in Figure 1 shows two methods for achieving organizational results. If an organization focuses only on the left side of the model, the strategic side, and if there is little congruence between the left and right side, the organization will stagnate and develop the characteristics of an entrenched bureaucracy. In contrast, if a company focuses only on the right side, the cultural side, the organization will quickly become a wonderful place to work. But unfortunately, it will soon close it's doors because it lacks the ability to achieve long term results.
