In this paper Sr and Cl isotope geochemistry was used to improve knowledgment on the relations between some hot (76°C) and cold (17°C) HCO_3-Na-CO_2-rich thermomineral waters and percolated rocks. So, rain, surface and thermomineral waters from Vilarelho da Raia -Pedras Salgadas region (N-Portugal) were analysed for ~(87)Sr/~(86)Sr and ~(37)C1/~(35)C1 ratios as well as for Sr, Cl and other major element concentration. The Sr isotope composition of granites and limestones was also analysed and compared with the Sr isotope composition of waters. Previous δ~(18)O, δ~2H and ~3H studies on these thermomineral waters suggested different underground flow paths. This trend is corroborated either by the 1/Sr vs ~(87)Sr/~(86)Sr ratios (showing three end-members of a concentration trend from the rain waters towards the mineralised waters) or by the Cl isotope geochemistry. The similarity of the ~(87)Sr/~(86)Sr ratios of the plagioclases and of the water dry residues suggests that dissolved Sr is preferentially contributed by plagioclases
