摘要

Pharmacokinetics of nicotine base and nicotine hydrogen tartarate in rats was studied following intravenous administration. NB exhibited higher and sustained plasma nicotine levels than NS. Some selected physicochemical properties and metabolic conversion were different between two compounds. Different metabolism and/or elimination appear to be primarily responsible for their different pharmacokinetics.
