This paper presents a newly developed dielectric embedded and electronically steerable multiple beam (DE-ESMB) antenna and its applications in wireless communication system. The DE-ESMB antenna can be also used in wireless computing system. DE-ESMB is a smart mobile terminal antenna using switching antenna technology and size reduction techniques. The significant performance of DE-ESMB smart antenna has been achieved in terms of the size reduction and switched beam forming. The paper also discusses the optimal design techniques of using high performance computer to design DE-ESMB antenna array.
