On the contiguous territories of Russia and China, along the left and right banks of the Amur River (Heilongjiang Province, China and Amursk Oblast', Russia), among the Late Mesozoic terrigenous and volcano-plutonic formations, several Precambrian protrusions (Gonzhinsky, Mamynsky, Amurkhe and Khumakhe) are known. They are considered by many researchers as the fragments of a single block (Geologicheskaya, 1999). The Early Archean (AR_1~2) granulates, diverse gneisses, crystalline schists, the Late Archean amphibolites (Gonzhinskaya series, AR_(2gn), and Singkhuadukou series, AR_(2xh), and associated granites (aAR_2) participate in the structure of the protrusions. Fractured massifs of the Proterozoic gneiss-like granitoids (qae, aae, aPR_1) have been revealed among the Archean beds. Other Proterozoic complexes in the Khumakhe-Gonzhin-Mamynsky block are schists, metadiabases, phyllites of the Chalovskaya series containing ultrabasite bodies (o, ΦPR_1, oPR_2), other ultramafites (OPR_3), and big massifs of autochthonous and reomorphic granitoids (aPR_3).
