Warfighters in the field perform most effectively when they have a more complete understanding of local and theater situations, threats, and operational objectives. In the highly dynamic battlefield of today, Situational Awareness, Command and Control (C2), imagery, Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), and Full-Motion Video (FMV) are available from an increasingly wide variety of sources. These services currently rely on costly satellites and conventional aircraft.
