摘要

A previous paper presented the concept of frosting and defrosting CO_2 at atmospheric pressure on a low temperature evaporator. Based on this concept a test bench has been designed, realized and tests have been carried out. The CO_2 defrosting process as designed requires a swing process on 2 low temperature evaporators. The swing process enables to recover the sublimation and the melting CO_2 energy for temperatures varying during the defrosting process between -120°C and -56°C. Energy efficiency of the global CO_2 capture process can now be calculated based on these experimental results. Step by step calculations, taking into account the water and the CO_2 concentrations in the flue gases are presented indicating the energy determining steps of the process.
