High Temperature Air Combustion (HiTAC) is a modern combustion technology, where oxidizer has high temperature and low oxygen concentration. The benefits of this technology are known, e.g. emission of pollutants is significantly lower, the production rate is higher and energy saving is achieved. The flame properties are dependent on properties of fuels, e.g. calorific value. In conventional combustion technologies the combustion of low calorific value (LCV) fuels is more difficult than that of high calorific values. HiTAC can be excellent technology to burn LCV fuels. Many research on combustion with high temperature and low oxygen content oxidizer were carried out for gas fuels like methane or propane. There is less information about combustion of low calorific value fuels. The aim of authors is to investigate of combustion of such fuels in conditions of high temperature and low oxygen content environment.
