摘要

Tracking programs play a key role in increasing the efficiency of PV tracking systems. Using Matlab software, a calculus program was previously developed able to provide the parameters that ensure a high tracking efficiency (with strictly limited number of tracking steps, thus reducing the energetic consumption of the driving linear actuators). The experimental results of the PV trackers used in field tests confirmed that the driving energy of the actuators is very low. Using these observations, the present paper proposes a new, improved tracking program with an increased number of steps for the both movements (azimuthal and altitudinal) that provides a higher tracking efficiency.
