Chemicals represent key ingredients used to manufacture non-durable and durable goods vital to sus- taining and improving our quality of life. Most of the growth is centered in Asia. International trade is accelerating to meet this growing demand. Much of the production expansion is from the hydrocarbon-rich Middle East, but Shale Oil and Gas is putting the U.S. back in play. Dynamics between crude oil price and natural gas price are often a primary factor dictating operating and investment location decisions.
