In my presentation last year, I mentioned that China has overtaken Germany and Japan and become the world's second largest economy. However, China is still commonly categorized as an emerging econ- omy today. But in my view China has gone beyond "emerging" and become an emerged [a developed] economy in terms of its size and diversity. China has been the major driving force for global economic growth, and it will likely continue to be the major driving force for a long period of time.
