摘要

Purpose is essential for anyone to do anything, of course including financial management, which affects all the aspects of one enterprise. This paper's focus is just to discuss what is the appropriate financial goal for the Chinese enterprises base on the current situations. Firstly, this paper illustrated some significant theory about financial goal in the history. Based on these principles, the paper did some relevant analysis and valuations. After that, "maximization of stakeholders' wealth" was pointed out as one generally accepted principle. Finally, several positive effects about "maximization of stakeholders' wealth" were related. The conclusion of this paper is that the principle "maximization of stakeholders' wealth" is the most appropriate financial goal for Chinese enterprises according to the current Chinese social and economic positions.
