A Repaired Genetic Algorithm Based Approach for Web Service Security Negotiation

In the field of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), managing the non-functional requirements of SOA security is an important trend. This is due to the different levels of security the consumer and the provider demand or supply. A web service may have different implementations having the same functionality, but may have different security constraints. Thus, finding a service support a security level that is acceptable to all parties is the main problem. So, automated negotiation among services is conducted to get an acceptable security level or a solution for all sides. This paper proposes a Repaired Genetic Security Service based negotiation approach for finding an acceptable security level in the multi-lateral multi-objective environment. With the evaluation of that approach, proposed approach outperforms the traditional time-based negotiation strategy. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness and scalability of the genetic algorithm used in the web service security negotiation problem.
