Biomass resources are underutilized in the Philippines. Hence, the lack of biomass power plant facilities in the country. The goal of this paper is to provide a methodology for the optimization of processing mills to potential facility locations. Biomass resource assessment was done using mathematical models and remote sensing techniques employed in a G1S platform. A suitability map was prepared by analyzing the generated resource map with physical, environmental, and socio-economic factors in the study area. The results of resource assessment and site suitability analysis were employed in the optimal configuration for power plant development. The location-allocation model was used in locating the optimum location for biomass power plant development in Nueva Ecija.
