The terpene lactones in Ginkgo biloba extrect are the main active constitutents along with the flavonoids.The content of the terpenes,i.e. ginkgolide A (GA),ginkgolide B(GB),ginkgolide C(GC) and bilobalide (BB),in raw materials,the extracts and the preparations is therefore a significant parameter for exaluating the quality of this herbal medication.
