摘要

The flame synthesis of tailor-made and coated nanoparticles for functional ceramic films is presented. The investigated flame process allows the control of particle size; morphology and crystallinity; surface modification by coatings and product particle deposition on flat substrates. Emphasis is placed on particle synthesis as well as surface functionalization and passivation by coatings. The process is performance-tested for titania nanoparticles with vanadia and silica coatings for catalytic films and UV-filters; respectively.
