Fluid flow behavior and inclusions removal in a continuous casting tundish equipped with a turbulence inhibitor (TI) and a gas curtain (GC) were mathematically modelling. The fluid flow and the inclusions removal was modeled using the k-ε model; the inclusion trayectories and the gas flow behavior were modeled with the Eulerian-Lagrangian and Eulerian-Eulerian models, respectively. Three cases were studied for a constant gas flow rate of 596 ml/min. The arrangement whit TI and GC located 0.12 m before the nozzle outlet presents the highest alumina inclusion removal in the slag phase (79.44 %). The mathematical simulation results were in agreement with physical modeling results.
