Fault tolerance is critical in many of today's large systems. There are often many users that depend on the system's stability every day. In this paper, the Software Fault Injection Simulation. Platform for Distributed system (FIPD) is designed for distributed architectures, which supports three types of faults: memory faults, CPU faults, and communication faults. The fault model is provided, and the three attributes are resource, fault type, and fault location. Then the architecture of Software Fault Testing System (SFTS) is proposed, which can test software faults. Fault Injection is a subsystem of the SFTS, which can inject faults into the workload. In order to simple the structure of SFTS, fault trigger is imbedded into the process of fault injection. In the experiment, matrix multiplication is adopted as the workload , and the testing results are analyzed in the end.
