As an ecological treating technique, the land treatment systems are of good developing prospects because of its advantages, such as economization of investment, simple of facilities, convenience of operation, lower cost of energy and better effect of purgation. This paper summarizes the development of wastewater reuse and its conventional technologies and the characters of the technology, analyzes the application conditions and the directions of land treatment, and the research status of wastewater land treatment system home and abroad. The accelerated industrialization of land treatment technology will greatly improve the environmental protection and ecological construction, and bring remarkable environmental, economical and social benefits.
