摘要

The problem of a suitable admixture to concrete affecting the setting and hardening of concrete mixture for prefabrication of water-supply lines has been studied. The experimental measuring respects the well-known fact that many organic components containing a H-C-OH group markedly increase the setting time of cement mixtures. Sugars form the most important class of such compounds. In small quantities they do not affect the density, durability, shrinkage, and absorption of concrete. Rheological measurements were performed with a coaxial cylinder viskosimeter. The flow curves of fresh cement for mixtures with and without the sugar based retardant were measured.
