摘要

Borate ester was used in NR compound as processing aid. The processing properties of NR compound and mechanical properties of vulcanizate were studied. The results showed that the torque of rotor decreased with the incorporation of 2 phr borate ester into NR compound. At the same time the temperature of the chamber slowly raised. The Mooney viscosity of the compound with 2 phr borate ester could decrease about 4 Mooney points compared with no borate ester in compound. The scorch time and optimum curing time slightly shortened The results also revealed that borate ester could improve the dispersity of carbon black in NR compound and improve the tear strength, tensile strength, modulus at 300% and permanent set of the NR vulcanizate. It also can decrease the heat build-up of the vulcanizate and the speed of the dynamic cut growth of vulcanizate under dynamic condition. It also showed that borate ester could use as lubricating agent and dispersant agent in rubber compound.
