According to the real sealing performance of water hydraulic single prop and the sealing mechanism of Y-type seal-ring, the structure of Y-type seal-ring was determined in this paper. The influence of seal lip chamfer on sealing performance and the stress concentration point of Y-type seal-ring were studied with finite element analysis (FEA). The reasons and resolvents of the molding defect of Y-type seal-ring,shrink mark, were analyzed; meanwhile, CAE was employed to analyze the injection molding process of Y-type seal-ring. Based on the results, three optimization projects were put forward from two aspects, namely injection molding processing parameters and mould structure. With the optimal project, the defects of Y-type seal-ring were eliminated, and the Y-type seal-ring can satisfy the seal requirement of hydraulic Prop with water medium.
