摘要

@@ Introduction Competitive anxiety and self-confidence are two important psychological factors influencing athletes' performance in competition (Jones, & Cale, 1989; Martens, Vealey, & Burton, 1990; Voight, Callaghan, & Ryska, 2000) and have been widely studied with athletes. Most researches, however, have dealt with these two factors separately and there are limited data-driven studies available investigating the relation between them. Moreover, participants involved in the previous studies are either elite athletes or public school student athletes. The athletes at National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) Division III have seldom been included. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships among different competition anxieties and self-confidences in sport for athletes at the NCAA Division III level in the United States.
