Empirical Study on Farmer's Income from Agriculture Production Influenced by Market Performance

摘要

The major source of farmer's income is agricultural income. However, the increment of farmer's income is usually subject to the farm products market performance. The paper has measured the influence of consumption of some markets, such as grains and oil market, meat, poultry and eggs market, aquatic products market, vegetables market and fruits market, over the agricultural income through double logarithm model on the basis of the principal component regression. The research shows that the average of farmers' agricultural income can increase by 0.15% when the consumption of grains and oil increases by 1%, as well as, 0.10% from 1% of the meat, poultry and eggs consumption, 0.09% from 1% of the aquatic products consumption, 0.13% from 1% of the vegetables consumption and 0.08% from 1% of the fruits consumption.
