摘要

Renren is the most popular social networking site in China which is a real and public platform rather than anonymity BBS and blog. Some recent research has even demonstrated that self-reported personality traits are reflected in personal webpages. In an exploratory study, We analyzed the content of status in Renren which is an update feature on users' main profile page that describe what user is doing now, and investigated the relation between self-reported personality traits and self-disclosure in Renren. A survey among 204 users of the Renren showed that the extent of self-disclosure is significantly related to extraversion, unwillingness to communicate, social self-esteem and social support percievedfrom real life.
