The method of numerical simulation calculation is an important means to calculate analysis, predict and forecast the stability of momentous projects. Combining with the researches of synthetic technology of deep mining in certain Gold Mine, the numerical simulating calculation model of stability of stop roof has been established after considering the above all factors. The sound emission, distribution of shear stress and the rock failure process of stope roof have been calculated and analyzed with mining procedure steps. The results are as follows: when the stope span is 6 meters, parts of roof begin to collapse; when the stope span is 10 meters, the middle parts of roof start to fall. Field investigation and observation are quite close to the numerical simulation result. All these offered the reliable theoretical basis for optimizing stope structural parameters and instructing the control ground pressure of stope.
