摘要

The model of grade J55,3'1/2 oiltube with linear defects (including seam, lap, crack, plug score, cut and gouge)[1] is established by using finite element method. The internal pressure strength of the oil tubes respectively with two types of defects is analyzed. The results showed that not only the depth of the defects has influence on the tube strength, but also the shape. API Spec 5CT stipulate that the limit depth of the linear defects is 12.5% of the Wall Thickness, while the shape of the defect does not make any request. Thus the API Spec 5CT standard has some imperfections. And the Corresponding improvement suggestion is given in this paper.
