摘要

Ceramatec has demonstrated the ability in the laboratory to produce liquid fuels from electricity, carbon dioxide, and steam using High Temperature Co-Electrolysis (HTCE) and a modular Fischer Tropsch reactor. The HTCE unit is based on Ceramatec's solid oxide fuel cell which has been proven in both steam and steam with carbon dioxide electrolysis modes. Ceramatec is currently considering the use of wind power to provide the electricity. In effect, the wind power will be stored in the form of a liquid fuel. The project will prove a technically viable approach to the capture of carbon dioxide and its subsequent conversion using wind generated electricity into synthesis gas that can in turn be converted to liquid fuels.
