Ceramisite is widely used in building materials, gardening, food and beverage, fire-resistant insulation materials, chemical, petroleum, environmental engineering and other fields, for its various characteristics of light weight, anticorrosion, antifreeze, anti-seismic and good isolation (insulation, heat insulation, sound insulation, damp-proof) which caused by small density, interior porosity, uniformed morphology and composition. This experiment mixture sludge containing water with shale combining moderate cow dung used as foam material to manufacture ceramisite, at the same time. Cow dung used as an addictive, by making the use of its organic matter components produce gases (for instance H_2O, O_2, CO_2, CO, SO_2, and etc.) which have affect on swelling property of ceramisite in the firing process, accordingly, improving the properties of ceramisite.
