As the enhancement of urbanization, public healthy has become an outstanding urban problem, for which people start to search some more dynamic and natural solution. In this paper, we are going to review the progressive history of interaction between human settlements and public health, to adopt the relative researches both at home and abroad to explain the concept of "active living", to summarize foreign design of active settlements, to discuss the active settlements which are designed to improve the active living, and to offer corresponding recommendations.
