@@ A QuEChERS (quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged, and safe) method for the determination of MCPA in rice matrices and soil by high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry has been developed in this study. The methods used for extraction, clean-up and estimation of MCPA residues were found to be satisfactory qualitatively as well as quantitatively. The recoveries were from 85. 3% to 99. 2% for the six matrices and RSDs ranged from 1. 5% to 9. 5%.
