摘要

Fiber materials show strong appeal to researchers for using as soiless base of planting recently. It is reported by Chinese Culture university that waste nonwoven fabrics of polyester fiber are split under higher temperature for soiless base. Fibrous material has potentialities in being made into soiless base through industrial processing. Straws, as part of regenerated natural resources, are by- products of rice, wheat, rape and etc. Using straws as materials for soiless base will attach degradation by nature and cost competition to the base. It is prerequisite to soiless base that straws are made into shape. The fibrous material of straws from a fodder grinder are strips. Most straws contain more than 50 percent of cellulose or semi - cellulose and 10 percent of lignin which cause the strips higher rigidity and less entanglement. If the straw strips are considered as irregular fibers, air- laid process of nonwoven technology has the great advantage for the fibers to be formed to the web. There are several factors affecting evenness of web. The influence of air vacuum and feeding of material on processing are discussed in terms of web evenness and content of straw fibers in the web.
