OFDM system has been widely used in radio resource management because of their high spectrum utilization. However, the limited resources in actual systems include the available subcarriers and the maximum transmission power of the system. Considering the optimal allocation of subcarriers and power, it is too complex to do it. Because genetic algorithm is especially suitable for solving the optimization problem of multi-parameter nonlinearity in OFDM system based on the principle of maximizing system capacity and minimizing transmission power, it can further improve system performance. Therefore, this paper proposes an adaptive resource allocation algorithm for multi-user OFDM system based on genetic algorithm, which combines genetic algorithm with OFDM spectrum allocation algorithm from coding, crossover and mutation. Performance simulation results show that the new algorithm can further reduce the bit error rate of the system when the signal-to-noise ratio is the same.
