摘要

Electric Power Steering (EPS) system is a control system that electrically amplifies the driver steering torque inputs to the vehicle to improve steering comfort and performance. On the basis of system configuration analysis of EPS system, this paper pointed out the key challenges in EPS system design. The technology development of EPS system was analynised to explore the main trend in both hardware and software. And the next generation of EPS system (Steer-by-wire system) was also illustrated at last. Analysis showed that EPS system will be further strengthened , along with the development of key technologies in sensor, control method and assist motor.
