Art education has been valued in Chinese elementary and middle school education, but the role of art education has not been understood totally on the mental health of young people. This paper analyses the psychological development of adolescents, mainly explains the importance of arts education to the mental health, and put forward some suggestions for the development of art education in schools. We hope there will be more support for arts education in schools.
