摘要

Although research on healthcare efficiency assessment using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) attempts to fill gaps in knowledge about the performance of Decision Making Units (DMUs), most of the available literature only provides information about similarities between DMUs and does not highlight interactions between underlying characteristics. This particular information is very helpful for decision-makers since it allows retrieving a comprehensive basis of knowledge on the amendments that should be applied to empower DMUs. To fill this gap, we propose a DEA-based approach that clusters DMUs by evaluating the production function of the related features of learning processes within teaching hospitals. An empirical study was conducted within a Tunisian public multi-specialty teaching hospital to assess the relevance of the proposed approach.
