This paper presents a theoretical study of direct contact melting process in a capsule with an axi-symmetric heating wall shape. One of the important applications of this system is that of thermal storage system. Latent heat energy is used in this system effectively. Phase change material (PCM) is stored in a small capsule. Heating wall of this system is not simple, but sometime complicated. In recent researches, this process is solved for only several limited simple wall shapes. In each cases, governing equations were solved using approximated methods or numerical method. In this paper, governing equations system with heat convection terms is solved analytically. It is shown that the governing equation can be transformed into ordinary differential equations system by a similarity transformation, It is also shown that there exists an exact solution, that is obtained without using any approximate method. This solution is valid for whole range of Stefan number.
