The magnet of beta -spectrometer designed for improvement of currently existing methods for radionuclide monitoring which enhance sensitivity of the measuring equipment and the magnet which permits obtaining enlarged images of radionuclide distribution in a sample have been considered. Basic requirements to magnetic fields have also been defined. A comparative analysis of various magnet systems aimed at solving specific practical problems has been carried out. The description of the superconducting magnet system design of beta -spectrometers intended for study of radioactive samples is presented.
