High strength polyethylene fiber reinforced plastics (DFRP) have large negative thermal expansion coefficients. Then they are sitable for bobbins for supercondcuting magnets of AC use. One of the most impor5ant problems on AC magnets in insulation property of bobbins and coolant. We carried out some experiments of surface spark voltage of DFRP pipes in air, Liq.N_2, and Liq.He. This paper describes methods of experiments, results of experiment and some considerations. The voltage of DFRP is higher than that of GFRP in Liq.He.
