Videos represent a good method to convey knowledge, to deepen or to give practical insights into different contexts. In this paper, we analyzed videos from different educational contexts in regard to their accessibility and it became clear, that the design of videos, which are supposed to be accessible, can look completely different. Aspects such as the respective target group, aim of the video and technical elements influence the implementation of accessibility in videos.While there are guidelines on how to design videos accessible, videos in educational contexts may pose different challenges. Instead of primarily entertainment, educational videos are used with a specific objective. The analysis showed that videos for nearly the same target group, but with different content (Degree videos) can also differ in their accessibility. And videos from other educational contexts and with a different target group look completely different and consider different accessibility aspects.However, considering didactical instruments such as the Training Compass [39], the guidelines and respective conformation levels of the WCAG [41 ] for every tool and player in use and the accessibility needs of target groups are essential to design videos for their intended use.
