After addition of thiourea and citric acid to eliminate the interference of coexisting ions and the matrix element,an analysis method (HG-AFS) to determine antimony and arsenic content in low alloy steel by hydride generation-atomic fluorescence spectrum is established.The operation parameters of AFS,the effects of acidity,the limit of coexisting ions and the concentration of reducing agent has been studied.The detection limit of antimony and arsenic is 0.05μg/L and 0.03μg/L (n=11,3σ),the relative standard deviations are all less than 5%( n=7),and the recovery is between 97.0%~105%,the linear rage of antimony and arsenic is 0~100μg/L.The method has been used to determine antimony and arsenic in low alloy steel standard sample,and the results are accordant with the certified value.
