Through a holistic planning approach, the City of Richmond, Virginia is incorporating capital improvement projects into their revitalization effort of redeveloping the historic downtown riverfront. This presentation will discuss the replacement and realignment of an aged and deteriorating combined sewer interceptor, which is divided into three phases: 1. Phase 1: Chimborazo Drop Shaft & Interceptor Sewer Replacement 2. Phase 2: Libby Terrace & Chimborazo Interceptor Sewer Realignment 3. Phase 3: Fulton Gas Works - Chimborazo Interceptor Sewer Realignment.
