A novel dual-band Wilkinson power divider (PD) with separate paths for the even and odd modes is presented in this paper. The proposed PD has a two sections transformer and a slot etched on the ground with an isolation resistor embedded in it. Design equations are derived from equivalent circuit with even-and odd- mode analysis. Then, a dual-band PD centered at 1 GHz and 3 GHz is presented in the design equations, which verifies the design method derived. Simulation results shows that the fractional bandwidth of the two passbands are 64.4% and 18.7% (15-dB return loss).
