摘要

The traditional engineering education in China concentrates on the theory study, and the educational pattern is out-dated compared to the development of world class engineering education. Undergraduate students were forced to sit tight in a classroom and treated as a subordinate role in the educational activities. After four years solid study, students even do not have the capability to solve practical problems, and this is the reason why CDIO concept is introduced. This study gives an example of the innovation of CDIO automatic control course undergoing in Guangzhou University and intends to share the experiences of applying CDIO concepts in undergraduate engineer education.
